IRI Results

The Idaho Reading Indicator (IRI) is given twice a year (fall and spring) to all K-3 students in Idaho. It is one test that can help us identify our at-risk students. To be considered on grade level, your child needs to get a 3. There will be a pink slip going home on Monday with your daughters IRI results. On that slip there is a break down of what makes a score of a 3, 2, or 1.
By the end 1st grade 1st graders are expected to read 52 or more words per minute. By the end of 2nd grade 2nd graders are expected to read at least 92 or more words per minute.
