Friday, May 4

Library Books Today is the last day to check out books from the library. 

Wednesday, May 9

Reading Store   Students will spend their points based on how many AR reading tests that they successfully passed.  These points can also be saved for next year. 

Baked Food Sale  Items will be for sale for 25c and 50c.  The money raised will go to a student at our school whose house burned down. 

Thursday, May 10

Library Books Due  All library books need to be returned to the library.  If library books are not returned, your daughter's report card will be held. 

Friday, May 11

P.E. Extravaganza     The girls will spend the entire day outside playing games.  Please have them dress for the weather whether it is warm or cold.  They need to wear tennis shoes and they might possibly get wet.  If it is a hot day, please have them wear sunscreen and a hat.  They may bring a water bottle if they want.  I would suggest a disposable one.  You are welcome to join us and watch us play.  We will be eating outside on the lawn if you would like to pack a picnic and eat with us as well. 
 

Monday, May 14

Cleaning  We will be cleaning out our desks today and tomorrow.  Please make sure your daughter brings her backpack to school each day. 

2nd Grade Movie  This afternoon we will be watching the movie, Peter Pan, as we conclude reading the book.  This evening from 6:30 – 8 pm, those students who met their IRI reading goal of 92 words per minute or grew at least 38 words per minute will be invited to watch Return to Neverland.  You should have already received the invitation and returned the RSVP ticket. 
  

Tuesday, May 15

Fitness Picnic  We will be having a BBQ lunch and playing for the afternoon if your daughter met her running goal of 4 laps each Wednesday.  I am proud to say that everyone earned this award!  The girls will use their lunch cards to pay for the BBQ.  They are also welcome to bring a sack lunch.  If you would like to join us, you may bring a picnic lunch or $3.50 for the BBQ.  A student lunch costs $1.80.   PTA will be selling sno-cones for $1.   The girls may bring sports equipment from home.
 

Wednesday, May 16

Last day of school  School will be dismissed at 11:50 am.  Students are not allowed to bring backpacks to school this day.  Please look for a large envelope which will have certificates and their report card inside.
