Sight Words

Sight words will be sent home in your daughter's homework folder. Please leave the words in her homework folder. When your daughter passes the level she is on, there will be initials at the top of the page and that page will be placed at the back of the stack. Please practice these words nightly. Each grade will have their own sight word lists.

1st graders have "turtle" words. There are 17 turtles with sight words on each turtle. By the end of 1st grade, your daughter is expected to have passed all 17 turtles. She will not be timed on reading these words, but will need to be able to read each word without any hesitation.

2nd graders will be getting sights words in their homework folders soon.
